fixing non-java clients in 0.7 release

Hi,

The new version of Kafka that we plan to release changed the message format.
Currently, some of the non-java clients (go, closure, and ruby) are still
broken because of this. We need some help to upgrade those clients. The
changes related to message format can be found at
