Verified the specified commit (commit f5b45a1a7bcea3a22f32401b4db21618edad07c8 ) is included in the latest pull from the incubator-daffodil repository.

Executed nightly performance test suite and verified that the update eliminated some of the performance degradation experienced in b0f59ef7.

This changes adds more work, so it's not too surprising, but we should try to make some optimizations to see if we can reduce the performance hit.
