Reactor problem: clean does not work for subprojects

The same example as I sent in my previous message. Namely:

Base project contains subproject and uses reactor to clean it.

If you run 'maven clean' in base project it writes that it cleans
subproject but actually does nothing.
If you run 'maven clean' in subproject - all right, it will be cleaned.

Tested on Linux and Windows, maven HEAD, Sun j2sdk1.4.1
