Leon Gao updated HDFS-16133:
----------------------------
Component/s: dfsclient
> Support refresh of IP addresses behind DNS for clients
> ------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: HDFS-16133
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-16133
> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: dfsclient

> Priority: Major
>
> Support for using a single DNS for clients was added as part of HDFS-14118. Java client does the resolution once and caches it. This causes a problem whenever a node is added or removed behind DNS. The idea with this task is to handle this scenario and refresh the IP addresses automatically in Java client.
