2.1 Release
Folks,
I have counted up the version number of the release branch and have
created the release notes. I guess the only thing that still is
missing for the release candidate is the patch from Warwick, right?
Anything else?
CVS Karma for both Warwick and Thomas seem to take a while... So,
Warwick, would you send your patch in. Or shall we release without it?
Oliver

Hi,
I agree this bug is totally Apple's fault but do we need to condemn all
OSX version before 10.4 (probably won't be fixed until then, if ever)
to life without possibility of Sliding? Users of Slide will blame Slide
and not OSX since the OSX client works fine with .Mac ; )

Principal URL in lockdiscovery (was: Re: 2.1 Release)
Posted by Lisa Dusseault <li...@osafoundation.org>.
This isn't in the ACL RFC, which defines principal URLs, so it's
non-standard so far.
However, I think it's pretty clear that any unrecognized element in the
lockdiscovery property MUST be ignored by clients, so as far as I can
tell this should be considered a client bug. (That doesn't mean we
shouldn't work around it :)
Has anybody reported this as a bug to the MacOS X client guys?
thx,
Lisa

Does anyone know what status this has in the WebDAV proposals? I know it was
proposed to the standard but I never heard anything about it again!

As I final request for the 2.1 release from my side: Shouldn't we
disable the lockdiscoveryIncludesPrincipalURL property by default to
give MacOS X users a working version from scratch? I will change this
now, but will revert it if there are any objections.

Re: 2.1 Release
Posted by Oliver Zeigermann <ol...@gmail.com>.
I have just run the testsuite on a clean Tomcat with Slide installed
from a fresh CVS checkout and *no errors*. I had to revert the
lockdiscoveryIncludesPrincipalURL property in web.xml in my local
installation, though...
Would be nice if we could get CVS head testsuite to handle the missing
principalUrl more gracefully.

I'll start the build tonight, assuming Warwick verifies that his patches
were correctly applied :).
