3.0.0 released? I see files..

http://spamassassin.apache.org/released/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.0.tar.gz

Is this what I think it is? I don't see any official announcements yet.

And it *was* an honest question - I wasn't trying to "scoop" anyone.

It's worth pointing out that Theo wasn't the one who initiated the
question, despite the misleading attribution.

And those of us who read the dev list do get a brief warning before the
release of a new candidate, because we see the votes on whether to do it. ;)

I just wanted to add, there's good reason to not attempt "scooping"
project maintainers with their release announcements:

  - mirrors: the link you posted is not a mirror site or redirector and
if that was actually a release and it made certain news sites, then
it would melt the Apache web server
  - tests: source releases are always tested (at least SpamAssassin's)
extensively before we officially announce the release, the first
tarball is not always the final tarball
  - social: fill in the blank

I don't think it is... At least not until there's an announcement. ;)

Soon niño, soon.

Yeah shame the links don't work.

They were there a minute ago. Damn.

They're 5 months and 20 days late for 4/1 :)

No, it's not.
