Flux

Hi,
 
I have used turbine and bypassed Flux because it was causing some troubles. I
never actually got to understand what is the role of Flux & when should I be
using it. I searched through the site to find the documentation but could not
find one. Could any of you point to a documentation or describe about Flux in
brief.
