Grant Henke commented on KUDU-1990:
-----------------------------------

We upgraded the Hadoop dependency to 3.x inĀ [133ef7e|https://github.com/apache/kudu/commit/133ef7e9dc469927a5b5e6ecec2cb24af91719ac#diff-c8766e11ebe92a5ae9ba91b23e73ab03].

> The Hadoop project is in the process of releasing 3.0.0, and according to this page it should happen in August: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/HADOOP/Hadoop+3.0.0+release
> The only exposure we really have is in the kudu-mapreduce Java module, we should make sure that we can support the new version when it comes out.
> Would be interesting to try building against an alpha release.
