[jira] [Commented] (SLING-5991) [SCD] Evaluate avoiding to buffer the whole packages before streaming

Timothee Maret commented on SLING-5991:
---------------------------------------

[~teofili], [~simone.tripodi] generally, what is the reason to buffer the binary to disk ?
Assuming it is not for later reuse but to limit memory consumption, wdyt about streaming the binary before the whole content is buffered ?

> As described in SLING-5990, It seems streaming only starts when the whole binary is completely buffered (in memory and/or file). The buffering time implies a latency which which could be avoided by streaming directly.
