Maven Distribution Plugin 1.6 Released

The maven team is pleased to announce the Maven Distribution Plugin 1.6 
release!

NOTE: this version of the plugin requires Artifact 1.3 to be installed


Changes in this version include:

o Use artifact plugin for deployments  

To automatically install the plugin, type the following on a single line:

maven plugin:download 
  -DgroupId=maven 
  -DartifactId=maven-dist-plugin
  -Dversion=1.6
