Authorization in webservices

Hi all!

Need some help - pointers if u please. :-) this may not be currently
relevant to axis, but I guess this group would have the right knowledge
about the same, so I've taken the liberty of mailing the list.

Could any of give me good references to read up on current authorization
(maybe authentication as well, but authorization primarily) techniques
for web services?

I need to come up with a framework for the same and I guess what would
really help me kick start it all is a good insight into the existing
authorization methods..

Thank you so much for your time :-)

I recommend Systinet's documentation on security:
