Prompting for password

Hi,

We are using a repository manager (via http) with anonymous read-access
(only available in our LAN) and authenticated deploy-access. This works
fine, but I don't like to put passwords in files. I know about
password-encryption using "mvn -emp" and "mvn -ep", but I would prefer,
that maven ask for the password in interactive-mode if no password is
stored in settings.xml. Is this possible?
