Model 4.1: Invert default of child.scm.*.inherit.append.path
Hi,
I assume most projects nowadays use git or at least another SCM where simply appending a slash and the artifactId to the parent's value is usually wrong. Given that model 4.1 breaks stuff anyways, would it feasible to switch the default?

Hi,
good point, we could even now analyse which SCM is in use and dependent on that set the variable to a sensible default, does not even require any model change.

Hi,
since maven 4 has the project root now we can also test the .git presence
and prefer it over a hardcoded default, can be smoother for everyone no?
