The first step here is to allow a deprecation cycle where those who depend on "slave(1)" endpoints can migrate. The following patch allows the omission of "slave(1)" when using endpoints hosted by the slave process:

In a subsequent version, we can make the necessary changes to update the way we generate IDs and ultimately fix MESOS-510 as well as allow integration tests with multiple masters.
