While comparing output of v2 and v3 test suites, I found differences due to different ordering of tests, and the fact that tests would set a level on a log, and not reset it back afterwards, or they would set a mode of XML parse schema validation and not set it back afterwards.  Use try / finally or setup/teardown to reset things like this in test cases.  Probably not worth fixing in v2, so not queued up for that.
