A number of UDFs do not include the appropriate flag to declare them as constants when the should be. Any input used in the setup method should include a constant flag in the @Param annotation for it (this allows us to detect and throw a helpful error message if they are used incorrectly). A correct example can be found in StringFunctions.RegexpReplace, an incorrect example can be found in GFloat8ToChar (available after running the freemarker generation that is a part of the default mvn install build).
