lucene questions/knowledge

hi...

completely new to lucene... not too experienced in java, a reasonable
experience in creating programs in a former life!!

looking to setup a test/play app using lucene/nutch to build a database of
terms/words for different sites..

the basic dataset will be used to feed a test project that i'm considering..

so, i'm trying to find someone who could serve as a mentor/guide, that could
help me set this process up.

i'm willing to pay, but this should be a short term test.

i'd prefer that you be in the bay area of cali (san fran/san jose/etc...)
but i could deal with anyone in the us/canada..
