[jira] [Created] (HDFS-2482) [HDFS-RAID] ExtFSInputStream#read wrapper does not preserve semantics

[HDFS-RAID] ExtFSInputStream#read wrapper does not preserve semantics
---------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: HDFS-2482
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-2482
             Project: Hadoop HDFS
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Andrew Purtell
            Priority: Minor

The ExtFSInputStream#read wrapper has signed byte issues. No need to use a local byte buffer either, IMO.

Andrew Purtell updated HDFS-2482:
---------------------------------

    Attachment: HDFS-RAID-fix-ExtFSInputStream.patch

Patch may not apply, it's from a private distribution, but does illustrate a possible fix.
