Java VM Error with Log4J 1.2.4 and JDK 1.2.2_007

Hi,

I have a java server program running with Log4J 1.1.3. Now I ported to the
Log4J 1.2.8 version (replace Category with Logger). Now I get the following
message when I start the program:

A nonfatal internal JIT (3.10.107(x)) error 'chgTarg: Conditional' has
occurred in :
 'org/apache/log4j/Hierarchy.shutdown ()V': Interpreting method.
Please report this error in detail to
http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi

The program terminates.

Anyone know the error and a workaround?

Thanks
Klaus
