"Good for beginners" tasks
Hi,
Some open source communities have a "good for beginners" label for their open issues/tasks. I think it would be useful to use such a label in our JIRA, for example, when somebody approaches us asking for some small introductory task. We could also add link to this group of issues to our Contributing guide.
Examples of such tasks:
* REEF-820 Adopt FxCop for REEF.NET
* REEF-896 Fix issues detected by PMD checks
* REEF-1342 Allow to set log level per logger instance
What do you think? And if you agree, what other tasks fall into this category?

I would start worrying about this after we actually have new contributors who do "new contributor" tasks :-)

+1 as well.
In the Alluxio contributing guide [0], they try to limit each new
contributor to 2 "new contributor" tasks, then they encourage people
to move on to harder tasks. Should we adopt a similar model as well?
Or perhaps we should wait until we gain more contributors?

I've marked several JIRAs with "beginner" tag and updated contributors guide. Feel free to mark other JIRAs as appropriate.
