[jira] [Commented] (NIFI-249) Label Text Extends beyond Label

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-249?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14275195#comment-14275195 ]

Jenn,

Thanks for submitting the ticket for this issue for me after our email exchange yesterday. However, I was wrong, this is not a bug as currently implemented.

The idea is that you (the person creating the label) needs to add line returns when entering the text. Once it's formatted how you'd like, you can then resize the label to surround the text as appropriate. We may want to describe this process someplace.

I could investigate inserting line returns when the text wraps (in addition to any specified by the user). However, we would still have issues when the text extends past the bottom of the label. At which point would have to introduce ellipsis like we do elsewhere. Though I'm not certain we want to do this for a label. That level of detail may be more appropriate in the comments of a process group. The labels have typically be meant for headings or short labels.

Thanks.

> When including lengthy text in a label on the graph, the text does not wrap and extends beyond the label itself. See attached screenshot.
