[jira] [Commented] (AMBARI-8137) Enable ResourceManager HA on Windows: Standby RM stalls the UI

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-8137?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14205592#comment-14205592 ]

Florian Barca commented on AMBARI-8137:
---------------------------------------

The standby RM's normal behavior is to actually redirect the REST API calls to the active node, so probing it wouldn't make much sense anyway. Will avoid the probe by filtering out the standby node.

> The RM HA Wizard Step 4 freezes while starting the services. The freeze is caused by the REST API call /ws/v1/cluster/nodes, which the standby node doesn't return at all. Until the root cause will be found on the RM side, will ensure the HTTP request times out, so that at least the UI doesn't stall indefinitely.
