Subject: Mixing apache authentication modes?

Can you mix authentication modes in apache?

Here is a specific example of what I would like to do:

I am trying to protect a directory so that
            a) if the user is on our network they may view its contents
(allow from range)
b)if they are not in our range the have to do LDAP
authentication

I know how to do both separately but how do I mix them?

Thanks,
