Bug 49827 - integration of barcode in fop 1.0

Hello, I am experiencing exactly the same issue as user named balza who commented the bug. I´ve already asked at apache forum but so far i got no answer (link is below). I´ve also attached the simple eclipse project (maven) to reproduce the issue. 
Is there a solution for it or some workaround?
