I can reproduce the behavior with the standard jsp-examples
(security/protected).
just add
<Valve className="org.apache.catalina.authenticator.FormAuthenticator"
disableProxyCaching="false" />
for this context.
Make a test page (say test.html)
login.
quit the browser
login again.
than a blank page appears :(
It is disableProxyCaching="false" that causes the problem!
(Tested on 5.5.23)
