Thank you for a quick response, 

I have moved the 

/<filter class="solr.SynonymGraphFilterFactory" synonyms="synonyms.txt"
ignoreCase="true" expand="true"/> /

from /<analyzer type="index">/  to /<analyzer type="query">/ section and it
is working fine.
