[jira] Created: (BUILDR-78) Installing Buidlr via a gem results in
incompatible versions of rubyforge
Installing Buidlr via a gem results in incompatible versions of rubyforge
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: BUILDR-78
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BUILDR-78
Project: Buildr
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Dependency management
Affects Versions: 1.3
Environment: Jruby 1.1.1 & Cruby
Windows vista
Reporter: James Drucza
When simply using "gem install buildr"
the latest versions of hoe and rubyforge are also installed, which this results in a conflict between rubyforge 0.4.5 (required by buildr) and 1.0.0 (required by latest hoe) when running buildr.
Work around: I uninstalled hoe and rubyforge then explicitly installed hoe 1.3.0, rubyforge 0.4.4 and buildr 1.3.0. Not sure if other combinations will work.
