[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-14019) Warn when multiple hdfs data
directories reside on the same mount volume
Nick Dimiduk created AMBARI-14019:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Warn when multiple hdfs data directories reside on the same mount volume
Key: AMBARI-14019
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-14019
Project: Ambari
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: ambari-client
Affects Versions: 2.1.3
Reporter: Nick Dimiduk
Priority: Minor
Notice this while setting up a new cluster. Machines have 8 drives. I had made mount locations for the 7 non-root disks, but forgot to mount them. Went through install process, specified these 7 locations for HDFS data directories. Neither Ambari nor HDFS noticed the miss-configuraiton.
Could also be considered an HDFS bug/improvement.
