    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JENA-479?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13694009#comment-13694009 ]

Andy Seaborne commented on JENA-479:
------------------------------------

Changes in blank node label handling have reintroduced this bug. Jena 2.10.1 works, 2.10.2 development does not.

>
> Running the following code:
> String updateString = "INSERT {} WHERE { ?x ?p [ ?a  ?b ] }";
> UpdateRequest update = UpdateFactory.create(updateString);
> UpdateProcessor up = UpdateExecutionFactory.createRemote(update,
>       "http://localhost:3131/ds/update");
> up.execute();
> Causes the Fuseki server to throw this error: 400 Encountered " "?" "? ""
> This is caused by the client generating incorrect SPARQL with an extra ? (as viewed from the Fuseki log):  INSERT { } WHERE   { ?x ?p ??0 . ??0 ?a ?b   }
> This bug may be similar to JENA-378.
