req.getScheme() failing for https

Hi all

I see that req.getScheme() fails for https in tomcat3.1 and returns
http.  I read in the archives of your mailing list that it is a bug and
has to be fixed.

I tried using req.isSecure() too, but does not help.

Is there any way to fix this in code apart from hardcoding the protocol
to https?
