[jira] Created: (QPID-1083) Qpid Messaging Tutorial

Qpid Messaging Tutorial
-----------------------

                 Key: QPID-1083
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-1083
             Project: Qpid
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: Jonathan Robie

This is the messaging tutorial currently shipped with the Red Hat Messaging beta. Red Hat has agreed to contribute it to Qpid.

I have not done any work to remove references to Red Hat or our products, this is precisely what we sent out with our beta (except for one phrase which I returned to its original vernacular).

This is all in DocBook format.

Software Grants

When an individual or corporation decides to donate a body of existing software or documentation to one of the Apache projects, they need to execute a formal Software Grant agreement with the ASF. Typically, this is done after negotiating approval with the ASF Incubator or one of the PMCs, since the ASF will not accept software unless there is a viable community available to support a collaborative project.

-----------------------------------

I posted a question (and deleted it) asking if a grant was needed for this contribution. It appears as though it's not - I found Red Hat's CCLA on file for qpid (which includes both code and documentation)..sorry for the noise.
