New Ideas (WAS: RE: Map support in VTL)

What I would like to see in Velocity:

- Add dictionary (or map) support to VTL
(http://diveintopython.org/odbchelper_dict.html)
- Add tuple support to VTL
(http://diveintopython.org/odbchelper_tuple.html)
- Add directive for whitespace gobbling
- Add support for multiline directives

Just my two cents.
