cluster
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-399?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14495708#comment-14495708 ]
Ramesh Mani commented on RANGER-399:
------------------------------------
In Kerberized Cluster for testing connection, the username and password
should be created in KDC and also the username given in the Ranger Admin Repo creation, should be
of format user@REALM e.g. hdfsuser@EXAMPLE.COM, like how it is shown
when you do a listprincs in kadmin.local.
keytab is not used in for test connection and lookup resources in kerberized cluster.

> Hi all
> The connection testing seems malfunctioned in a Kerberized Cluster.
> Such as HDFS repository, when I traced the source code, I found it needs the path of keytab, but there is no place to specify the path on the web ui.
