Broken links for subscribe to User List

The links to sign up for the user list are broken on the Avalon web
site.

On the general Jakarta mail list page at
http://jakarta.apache.org/site/mail2.html, the link goes to
mailto:avalon-users-subscribe@jakarta.apache.org

On the Avalon page at http://avalon.apache.org/mailing-lists.html, the
link is specified as mailto:avalon-users-subscribe.at.jakarta.apache.org
but that is an invalid address. If I replace the .at. with @, it is the
same as the one above.

I had the same problem when I tried to subscribe to this list. I only
succeeded by experimenting with various forms of the address, and
eventually I found that dev-subscribe@avalon.apache.org worked. But the
same approach with the user list still gives me a reject notice.

Can someone tell me how to subscribe to the user list?

TIA
Steve

Sorry about that. Avalon is in the process of moving from being a
subproject of Jakarta to a top level
Apache product. The lists have changed names as follows:

avalon-dev@jakarta.apache.org --> dev@avalon.apache.org
avalon-users@jakarta.apache.org --> users@avalon.apache.org
avalon-cvs@jakarta.apache.org --> cvs@avalon.apache.org

To subscribe to dev@avalon.apache.org send an empty message (no subject
or body) to

    dev-subscribe@avalon.apache.org

and that should take care of it. I'll see about changing the site...

Thanks for bringing this up.
