[jira] [Updated] (NETBEANS-2351) Netbeans will not install on Windows 10

Dave Jonesinor updated NETBEANS-2351:
-------------------------------------
    Description:
I am as a writer and I am provide [professional coursework writing|https://essaysarea.com/coursework-writing/]. But, I want to change my current job. I try to install Netbeans 8.2 Java EE, but whenever I run the installer, it quits after it is configured. I'm trying to install it on windows 10 64-bit.

In my Windows 10 system properties → Environment Variables → System Variables, I had previously created _JAVA_OPTIONS variable values using -Xbootclasspath / a to add some jar files to the end of the bootstrap class path. These files are used with some work that I do with the Oracle Publisher Publisher plugin for Microsoft Word.

As soon as I renamed the _JAVA_OPTIONS variable to something else, my installation of NetBeans began normally and ended without problems.

After installing NetBeans, I return the name of this variable to _JAVA_OPTIONS and discover that the values that I have for this system variable cause NetBeans to launch. (This does not make any sense to me, since I simply add these files / classes to the class path, rather than rewriting.)

Despite this, I will have to go back to the drawing board for my work with the BI Publisher plugin; but at least I can use NetBeans now!
