In order to emit better error messages (e.g. for SLING-11729) it would be useful to expose the line and column where the error occurred through dedicated getter methods (and not only hidden in the exception message). That allows m2e to render error markers at the correct position.
In case no line/column information is available {{-1}} should be returned.
