> The reason this is marked is a bug is that the _doVersionSelect_ method does not take into account the user's preference (if set) as does _doInit_. Also, the original code does not make sure that the user's preference is within supported values. The method is _protected_ so that if anyone wants to extend the SFTP support for more versions they can easily override this method.
