[jira] [Commented] (IGNITE-2605) Apache Apex Integration

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IGNITE-2605?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15188753#comment-15188753 ]

Thomas Weise commented on IGNITE-2605:
--------------------------------------

Apex depends on YARN for resource scheduling and container execution. In theory, if another cluster manager can provide the same functions, it would be possible to build an alternative execution layer. Happy to discuss it further, perhaps on the dev@apex list? Note that Apex also depends on a Hadoop file system implementation (alternative to HDFS).
