archiving obsolete Git repository
As discussed recently, we have multiple obsolete Git repositories from old
projects or read-only svn2git, that are confusing for users: we should archive
them, to get the same result as https://github.com/apache/maven-ant-plugin
Here is the list of such repositories:
- https://github.com/apache/maven-plugins
- https://github.com/apache/maven-shared
- https://github.com/apache/maven-doxia-tools
- https://github.com/apache/maven-pom
- https://github.com/apache/maven-artifact
- https://github.com/apache/maven-mercury
- https://github.com/apache/maven-app-engine
- https://github.com/apache/maven-repository-tools
- https://github.com/apache/maven-resources
- https://github.com/apache/maven-sandbox
- https://github.com/apache/maven-doxia-ide
Any objection to archive any of them? Or any additional repository?

PRs remain available after archiving: see for example
https://github.com/apache/incubator-retired-concerted
of course, if you want to review in the next few days, don't hesitate
The intent behind archiving is just making clear that these repositories are
not where to provide new PRs: I'm confident that people will easyily find the
new repositories once they know that they are looking at the wrong place

Hi, I'm outside apache team and I can't know all apache projects.
It will be good idea add simple README with short explain why repository is
archived and if possible where developers should go for current project.

Few of them have still open PR [1] - can we somehow, before archiving,
review/move to the active repo?
