[jira] Created: (HDFS-1668) Datanode needs to send block pool usage
information in registration
Datanode needs to send block pool usage information in registration
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: HDFS-1668
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-1668
Project: Hadoop HDFS
Issue Type: Sub-task
Components: data-node, name-node
Affects Versions: Federation Branch
Reporter: Suresh Srinivas
Assignee: Suresh Srinivas
Fix For: Federation Branch
Block pool storage usage needs to be sent from datanode to namenode in heartbeat requests. This will be used by namenode to show the block pool space usage on namenode webUI. This will also be used by Balancer eventually for balancing block pool usage.
