How to deploy and run the velocity.war successfuly? example from javaworld

Greetings,
i have download the velocity examples from javaworld:
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2001/velocity/velocity.zip

The problem i'm facing now is when i dump the velocity.war file into
webapps using tomcat 5.5. i not able to display the html page when i use
this url: http://localhost:8080/velocity/servlet/Sample


Please tell me what can i do?

I presume that code example is 7 years old. There could be innumerable
reasons why this example wont work. You would need to provide much more
information about the error that occurred, what version of Velocity you are
using, the configuration of Tomcat, etc.
