Re: tcpserver bringing down a machine? (fwd)

This might be the reason for that 4.1.3 panic Roy tried to patch around.

I see he's running SunOS 4.1.3_U1. Is the following patch installed?

102010-03 SunOS 4.1.3_U1: TCP Interface Jumbo Patch

If this patch is not installed on 4.1.3_U1 machines running sendmail,
sendmail can provoke a crash by using getsockopt (this is in the FAQ).

As far as I can see tcpserver never uses getsockopt - but it *does* use
setsockopt. I wouldn't be surprised it setsockopt is affected too.
