4.0.1 build

Any chance of pushing 4.0.1 into the available prebuilt download? Had to
revert from it to 4.0.0.1 after the authentication switch, and have to say
it is painfully slow in comparison.

Thanks for the consideration.

I second the thanks!

On a more practical note, is there a chance that there could be a 4.0.1
pre-release build for download, with all the caveats attached?

From a users perspective, I would also really appreciate a ready-to-download release of 4.0.1. In any case, thanks for the continuous work on cTAKES.

- I don't really know. It really depends upon any loose ends (unfinished code) being wrapped up, testing and documentation being performed, and a hundred little things being aligned to get it to a releasable state. It requires a team effort, and getting enough volunteers together with substantial overlapping free time is difficult to say the least. Of course, a greater number of volunteers helps spread the burden.

Hi Greg,

just to clarify, 4.0.1 (trunk) is faster than 4.0.0.1 (4.0.0 Patch) ?

Are you asking if/when 4.0.1 (trunk) might become the "latest official release"?

Thanks for the consideration.
