Fwd: Artifacts for Subversion

Dear Subversion Developers,

I sent the following email to trademarks@subversion.org but haven't
got a reply. Please could you advise me on who to contact regarding
the Subversion trademark.

Thanks,
Fyodor Sheremetyev

Dear Subversion Corporation,

According to http://svncorp.org/legal/trademark-policy.html I'm kindly
asking your permission to use the word "Subversion" in the name of our
new
product "Artifacts for Subversion". The product is a free bug tracker
that works directly from a Subversion repository in a web browser.

You can find preliminary information about the product at
http://www.versioned.com/artifacts/svn/. This page is not public yet -
there are no links to it on the web site.

Many thanks,
Fyodor Sheremetyev

Sorry you failed to get an answer, Fyodor. The Subversion name and logo
usage guidelines were previously controlled by the Subversion Corporation,
but now that ownership of the registered marks have been transferred to the
Apache Software Foundation, I confess that I'm not entirely clear what body
is responsible for answering questions like yours. FWIW, I personally think
"Artifacts for Subversion" was a fine name that was within the spirit of the
Subversion Corporation's mark usage guidelines, but I guess the matter is
made irrelevant by your product name change anyway.
