   Hi Oliver,
   
   yes this component is still under development as is stated in Tour De Jewel (with the label "This component is still in development"). That's the main issue to solve the selectedIndex/selectedItem. I started it with an approach that I finally didn't like: using "selectedItemProperty". 
   As I get time, I'll want to remove selectedItemProperty and fix the behavior, unless others can provide a patch before. I can't say when I'll work on that component since have many things on my plate now.
