Any value listed in the attribute section of the AuthLDAPUrl directive will be placed into the 
environment for use by other modules.  For example, the AuthLDAPUrl:

AuthLDAPUrl ldap://localhost/o=Covalent,c=US?uid?sub?

Will put AUTHENTICATE_UID=rmorgan into the environment.  This is not in the 
documentation, but is useful for module writers.

This patch also fixes a minor typo in the filter docs.
