for resources when it is
Karthik Kambatla created YARN-5863:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Record that an application is starved for resources when it is
Key: YARN-5863
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-5863
Project: Hadoop YARN
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: scheduler, scheduler preemption
Affects Versions: 2.8.0
Reporter: Karthik Kambatla
On YARN-5783, Wangda suggested we add a new scheduler state called STARVED to identify applications that are starved for resources. This state can be scheduler-agnostic and can be used for preemption etc.
