That is fine as nullCheckEnabled is not allowed with nt:base and would cause indexing to fail. The error message has been fixed in later release

There was an issue with exception handling which causes the actual exception to hide. This was fixed with OAK-3442.
[~rma61870@adobe.com] Can you try with a later version of Oak say 1.2.8 and let us know whats the actual cause
