Pending messages on ActiveMQ queue

HI , 

We have ActiveMQ environment and right now we have more then 3 Lakh messages
pending on queue and we are not able to consume messages and not able to
publish new messages on this queue. 

Can someone pelase help us to resolve the issue or if there is anyway to
store the messages on disk to free up the queue. 
We are facing issue in PRODUCTION environment. Any help would be
appretiated.
