[jira] Created: (CONTINUUM-2601) Unable to release if version
number cannot be parsed
Unable to release if version number cannot be parsed
----------------------------------------------------
Key: CONTINUUM-2601
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM-2601
Project: Continuum
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Release
Affects Versions: 1.3.6
Reporter: Wendy Smoak
When the Maven Release plugin is unable to parse the project's version number and suggest a release and next version, it prints a warning and prompts you for the info.
When this happens in Continuum, you just get an error after you click 'Prepare Release'. There is no way to release the project in Continuum.
Continuum should continue to the next page, show a warning, and leave the fields blank for you to fill in.
A version number that should cause this problem is: AAA-BB-CC-DDDDDD-1.0-SNAPSHOT
